Teaching Sound as Vibrations

Students LOVE learning about sound as vibrations. Many students have no idea that vibrations cause sound waves that travel to our ear.

In this unit, students will learn this concept with many materials including posters, a mini book, an interactive notebook page, and hands-on activities!

Learn About Light as Illumination

In this second portion of the unit, students will learn about light as illumination.

They’ll study natural and artificial examples of light and will even learn about some animals that give off light!

Teaching How Light Behaves

In the third section of the unit, students will learn different ways light behaves.

Don’t worry, we’ve made this hard concept simple for students to understand!

Learn About Communicating With Light and Sound

In the final part of this unit, your students will learn how light and sound are used to communicate!

From real world examples (such as emergency lights and sirens) to fun hands-on activities (building a string phone and communicating with light) your students will learn this concept with kid-friendly materials.
