Make practicing long division fun with this 5th grade hands-on math unit! This 5th grade math unit covers standard 5.NBT.6. Your students will learn about
- dividing whole numbers and solving division word problems.
- Students will use long division to solve equations with and without remainders.
- Students will divide 3 digit by 1 digit,
- 4 digit by 1 digit,
- 3 digit by 2 digit,
- and 4 digit by 2 digit problems.
**Division involving decimals will be covered in Unit 11.**

This is the fifth unit of 5th Grade Guided Math. This unit is focused on solving Division problems (5.NBT.6) (TEKS 5.3.C–download the preview for more information about TEKS correlation) and is a two week long unit.
5th Grade Guided Math units are recommended for small group, targeted instruction, but also can be used in a whole group format.
