Description
This 5th grade math unit covers line plots. Standards 5.MD.2 is covered. Your students will learn about plotting data on a line plot using fractions with different denominators. They’ll learn to use addition and subtraction to interpret data, calculate the total amount of data on the line plot, and will learn how to redistribute data on a line plot equally.
This is the eighth unit of 5th Grade Guided Math. This unit is focused on Line Plots (5.MD.2) (TEKS 5.9A,C–download the preview for more information about TEKS correlation) and is a one week long unit. TEKS teachers, please note, this unit ONLY covers line plots.
5th Grade Guided Math units are recommended for small group, targeted instruction, but also can be used in a whole group format.
There are two separate PDF’s included. One with CC Standards and one with TEKS standards.
