Are you looking for fun 4th grade math activities for shark week? This resource includes 5 activities that you can use with your fourth graders.
What’s Included in this 4th Grade Shark Week Resource:
- Day 1: Place Value Puzzles (Students will use dice and roll a six-digit number. Then, they will write the number in standard, word, and expanded form on the three shark puzzle pieces. Cut apart and match for a partner activity.)
- Day 2: Rounding (Students will spin a number and then round it to the nearest ten, hundred, and thousand.)
- Day 3: Dividing 3-Digit by 1-Digit with Remainders (Use dice to move your piece on the game board. Students will solve their equations on a separate sheet of paper.)
- Day 4: Area of a Rectangle (Students will roll and write two 2-digit numbers and then will multiply them to calculate the area of the shark holding tank.)
- Day 5: Comparing Decimals (Students will cut and sort the decimal pairs under the appropriate heading to compare them.)
These 5 activities come in color and black and white, so you can print on white paper or colored paper.
