These third grade reading response question stems can help guide your instruction as you cover different 3rd grade reading standards!
The stems are broken down by standard. There is also an editable box for each standard so you can fill it in with your own question! This file includes over 125 question stems!
Here’s how you can use these question stems:
✔️ During small groups – Print them off and put them in your teaching binder. As you’re working with your students in groups, you can pull out these questions to help you practice all your grade level’s reading skills!
✔️ In partner or independent reading – Give students a list of stems to answer in their journals or use as discussion prompts with a partner.
✔️ As an anchor chart or flip cards – Post them in your reading corner (or put them on a ring) so students always have a way to reflect on what they’re reading.
